God turned me around.

Flight cancelled. New airport. Piano in the distance. It was opposite from the gate for my next flight. I went toward the music and smiled at the young man playing as I walked by. Not a few steps away, I heard, “Go back.”

Was that God?

I kept walking. Lord, will you send another? “Go back.

“Go back and give him the money in your wallet.”

I kept walking.

And then I prayed, Lord, if you help me to find that booklet in the depths of my purse, I’ll do this.

I looked in my purse and it was readily on top. Grabbing it and the $20 bill in my wallet, I turned around, praying all the way. I said to him, “I had to turn around to give this to you. Read it when you have time.” He thanked me.

I walked to my gate. Relieved. Yes. The outcome is up to God. The fruit I may never see. But I did what was asked of me.

I haven’t always obeyed. A woman at a store did not hear from me about Women’s Connection because I kept on walking. I felt so strongly that I was to tell her about Stonecroft and Women’s Connection specifically, but I didn’t do it. I do believe God sent another, but I missed the opportunity.

I repented.

Have you been prompted to turn around this year? Do you know that nudge from the Holy Spirit when He wants you to connect with someone in need? I would love to hear your story. Most people come to know who Christ is because someone obeyed.

Lord, will you help me to obey You more readily? I get busy, distracted, self-centered. Forgive me, God. Help me to trust You to lead me to the women You want me to love. Thank you, Father, that Your mercies are new every morning.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”
