We all have our favorite times. I enjoy sunrises and sunsets. When I watch the sun come up over the horizon, I feel as if God is saying, Here, I’m pushing back the darkness so you can go to and fro, shining light into the hearts of people. When I watch the sun disappear, fading to night, it’s as if God says, Here, my beloved, let me give you rest to prepare for tomorrow.

But, my favorite time of all is when I see God move in the words and actions of other people.

Recently, I had a Stonecroft women’s small group gathering in my home. To break the ice, I asked the women to share about the best gift they’ve ever received. I was overwhelmed by the smile on each woman’s face when she answered this question. Some said “my husband and kids,” others mentioned an object, and one woman said “the gift of time.” Everyone’s head nodded in agreement.

How precious time really is!

I’m grateful that God uses Stonecroft as a tool to equip women. Stonecroft teaches women to find their purpose, to pray and read the Bible, to share their story of redemption, to listen and encourage others, and, most of all, to take the time to share the Gospel of Jesus, the ultimate gift.

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

– Galatians 6:9

May we recognize our gift of time and use it wisely for God’s glory.
