RSVP is a response to an invitation. God has extended an invitation to enter a personal, powerful and purposeful relationship with Him through faith in Jesus. The most extraordinary invitation ever! Once we respond to the invitation, we’ll thirst after inspiration from God’s timeless Word and be propelled to invest in others, sharing and caring in Christ-like ways.
That is the message in the newly developed invite-inspire-invest film series, created by RSVP Ministries (formerly Stonecroft Canada). The Canadian RSVP name and circular logo of candles lighting the darkness in connection with one another are the new marker for these resources.
Each invite-inspire-invest series is a unique progression of story, teaching and vignette; three short films accompanied by discussion questions that create “God conversations” among believing and unbelieving friends and participants. The series is intended to be viewed and discussed in an environment that extends the welcome of God to all, at any point on their journey of faith. These films have been professionally created by hands and hearts keen to provide faith resources used in a wide variety of settings. The films might be shared on a big screen in a large group or on a laptop with a few friends, used on a regular basis or for a specific opportunity or event.
In an invite film, viewers explore faith through the lens of a courageous, real-life individual whose life has been interrupted by God. In an inspire film, participants consider the principle of the “SPIRE” (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, Emotional) and of wholeness, led by RSVP Executive Director Donna Lamothe. All will be challenged in an invest film to give life away, entirely for the benefit of someone else. The full circle of faith will be unpacked in this combination of short film and discussion.
