Meet Stonecroft’s Transformation Team!

Doris Thompson, who served most recently as Vice President of Outreach, has been named the Vice President of Transformation. She will lead the new team alongside Director of Field Ministry Sarah LeBlanc. It will be comprised of Ministry Support, Field Ministry, and Outreach (resource development). Staff members from these areas are uniting as the Transformation Team to serve all types of Stonecroft volunteers and groups.

Bringing the three teams together as one will allow Stonecroft to more fully serve and equip leaders, no matter their type of group. Resources and training will be developed with every leader in mind.

“When Dr. Overton first asked me to consider taking on this role, I told her I had to pray about it and seek God’s guidance,” said Doris, who has been with the ministry for nearly 13 years. “It turns out God has been preparing me for this for months.”

Doris has shared on the Vision Calls that God has been showing her how much He wants to transform our lives and the lives of those who do not yet know Jesus.

“The Scripture I keep coming back to is 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, which reads, ‘Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.’”

“There are so many transformation stories of women who are a part of our ministry, who are invested in the lives of women,” said Sarah. “That’s what makes me so excited about this word ‘transformation’ and the Transformation Team.”

In addition to the combination of the three program teams, two members of the Transformation Team will have new duties added to their positions. The role of Leadership Development Director will be filled by Anne Schneider and Maddison Berciunas, and they will serve our volunteer leaders through training, developing, and sharing resources in relational evangelism, evangelistic prayer, small group outreaches, events, and other program platforms. They will work alongside the Transformation Team in serving and resourcing leaders.
