Let’s give the gift of prayer this holiday season! Join the Holiday Prays outreach and bring comfort to others who don’t yet have a relationship with Jesus.
Holiday Prays is a very simple idea. When times get tough, you’ll hear even the most ardent agnostics ask for prayers or “good thoughts” on their behalf. So why not ask people — especially nonbelievers — how we can pray for them over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s? Then pray!
Most of us celebrate with loved ones, but some spend their holidays hurting and alone. We all know that the holidays can be harder than advertised! So ask for Holy Spirit boldness and approach women at work, in the store, around your neighborhood, and say, “The holidays can be tough on all of us. How can I pray for you?”
Imagine the difference you might make in someone’s life when you take a moment to listen intently to their hurts, their fears, their desires. So pray, and follow up after the holidays to see how God answered. In some cases, you will have the perfect opportunity to share your story, and the Gospel, with those for whom you’ve prayed.
