Suzy Hachey traveled overseas and engaged in street evangelism to people who had never heard of Jesus Christ. When she relocated to Kansas City, she felt the urge to stay active in the work God placed on her heart, so Suzy prayed for a way to serve Him.

Meanwhile, Suzy’s college friend, Maddison Berciunas, asked God for young women to serve in Stonecroft’s millennial outreach ministry. When the two reconnected over coffee, they discovered the same answer to both their prayers.

Now Suzy, an interior designer, co-leads the Kansas City Conversations group where young women can discuss their struggles and discover Jesus Christ. She thrives on reaching out to young women.

“Suzy’s genuine love and care opens the door for women to share voluntarily and feel safe to ask difficult questions about faith,” says Maddison, Stonecroft Outreach Coordinator. “Suzy knows that what women truly long for is a relationship with Jesus.”
Leading Conversations gatherings awakens Suzy to other faith-sharing opportunities.

“I am bolder and braver,” Suzy says. “I want to open up and have conversations with my peers.”

Suzy also serves on the millennial outreach national team, the group that brainstorms strategies and solutions and prays for courage to build relationships.

“It’s a cool challenge to have heart conversations,” she says. “I am learning I can do that anywhere, even in line at the grocery store.”
