Often in our ministry of sharing the Gospel, we are challenged by circumstances out of our control. Satan is always looking to disrupt or derail our efforts as we share the Good News. He will use the busyness of life, relationship conflicts and event planning mishaps to distract us from the Lord’s work. However, we must stand firm. We must not be moved. There are women in need of the hope that we know and have.

Let us be intentional about assessing a situation according to God’s purpose and not our flawed human emotion or insignificant schedule. When we encounter a stressful situation or unpleasant feeling in a Planning Team meeting, let us turn to Him in prayer to reveal any sin in our own hearts and ask Him to give us the compassion, patience and understanding to trust Him. Then stand firm on the calling He has given you to share the love of Jesus with women who don’t know Him.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
