She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
-Proverbs 31:25

Excerpt from Jan Mathers

I was a committed Christian when I attended my first Women’s Connection luncheon.

Because I had an enjoyable time, when I filled out a response card, I checked a box that said, “I will help in any way.”

It wasn’t because I was looking for something more; I liked my life as it was – wife, mother, partner with my husband in our business, and Children’s Church Supervisor.

I had no inkling of how drastically my life would change due to checking that box – I only knew that at that luncheon, I’d been amongst an unusual caliber of women, and I wanted to know them more.

The women I met that day saw potential in me I’d never imagined. They not only saw that potential, but they also provided the means for me to reach it.

And there didn’t seem to be a limit; they just kept throwing out opportunities, stretching me with bigger challenges, and always, always, always covering me with prayer, wrapping me in encouragement.

That first luncheon was 32 years ago, and still today, I will never walk away from an opportunity to be around the unusual caliber of women to be found in Stonecroft.

More than anything else in the world, I want to be to other women, what Stonecroft women have been to me.

Stonecroft is committed to praying into the next 85 years of ministry, and you can be a part of that.

Sign up for your hour to pray!

For our 85th year, we’re as committed as ever to our legacy of prayer by asking someone to go into our “virtual” prayer chapel (wherever you are!) every hour of the workweek and cover local, national, and global ministry in prayer.

Prayer is the foundation of all ministry at Stonecroft. Perhaps that accounts for this unusual caliber of women who welcomed Jan with open arms and continue to extend welcome to hundreds of women worldwide.
