“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”

– John 14:2, NIV

Take a moment to read John 14:1-7. I’ve read this Bible passage many times, but for some reason, it hit me differently today, because of one small concept: many rooms.

The reality is, I have no idea exactly what heaven is going to be like, but I think it’s safe to say, there will be plenty of space. Heaven will have space not just for me, but for every person who chooses to follow Christ and start a relationship with Him.

But, as I look out my window at my neighborhood this morning, I think of far too many names of friends and neighbors who I’ve never talked with about Jesus. I have no idea if they have made a reservation in heaven for one of these rooms mentioned in John 14:2.

Yes, it seems a bit silly to boil heaven down to a “resort” with rooms to reserve, because the Bible says it’s so much more than that. But, just for today, I want to dream big and pray God will help me to have the courage and resilience to talk about Christ with many more friends and neighbors. And maybe, just maybe, I can fill a whole block of rooms in the heavenly “resort” with people I know – maybe even an entire resort!

Dream big! God wants to use you to reach many people around you with the Gospel. Maybe together we can fill a whole resort.
