When my grandmother passed away, all the women in the family gathered in her living room with her two full jewelry boxes and started to sort.
Little bits and bobs of nothing expensive or fancy but all reminiscent of her, a woman beloved by so many people.
Jewelry is often passed on from one generation to another, small items that carry worth and the weight of memories.
But we have something else that we can pass on.
Stonecroft has been passing on the pearls of the Gospel for 85 years and intends to continue for many years.
How amazing is it that we have the Pearl of Great Value, which is always ours, but we can always give it away?
One gorgeous glowing orb of love and hope for everyone!
Jesus used physical things to talk about spiritual things, and here he gives us the beautiful picture of pearls to represent that gift he gives freely to all humanity.
This month, we start celebrating Stonecroft’s eighty-fifth year of connecting women with God, each other, and our communities.
Stonecroft has been giving away strings and strings of pearls for 85 years.
One way we’ve done that is by covering people in prayer. We had a prayer chapel at our property where people would sign up to pray for every hour of our workweek.
And we want you to know we are here to pray with you too!
