Rye, New Hampshire—Matthew 7:7b says, “Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Kerri* didn’t know that verse yet, but she did know that she hungered for God’s love. And God loved Kerri so much that He had already sent His one and only Son to die for her.

Kerri had a rough upbringing and a troubled marriage. Her circumstances may have helped her acknowledge her spiritual need. “It was like I was just a shell at that point, and God was filling me up.”

Kerri started reading her Bible on page one. “I was loving what I was reading,” she says. “I couldn’t believe what I was learning from it.” Her quest for spiritual understanding took her to a swap shop where she found a little book that explained how to begin a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. “I accepted Jesus,” Kerri says. “But I didn’t realize what I did until I started a Stonecroft [Bible] Study” where the Guide carefully explained exactly what it means to have a relationship with Jesus.

“When I first came to know Jesus, I was pretty insecure,” Kerri admits. “I was confused about what the Bible says and what the world says.” Her Bible study helped her learn the difference. “Stonecroft creates an environment that lets you be confident about yourself because God created you to be that person.”

Kerri says she particularly connected with these studies because they “break things down into understandable pieces” which makes it easy for a new believer to process. “It’s all stuff you can apply to your life,” Kerri comments. It wasn’t long until Kerri was so confident in her faith that she began to lead other young women in Scripture study. In turn, they too began to lead their own Stonecroft Bible Studies.

“Stonecroft teaches how to live your life for God and share the Gospel,” Kerri states. “They show you how to love yourself and love each other.” That’s exactly what Kerri does as she lives with and cares for her aging grandparents. As a result of Kerri’s testimony, they, too, have accepted Jesus as their Savior. “It’s great to see people receive Christ and be transformed before your eyes.”

Kerri now has a vision to share His love and equip others to spread the Good News about Jesus Christ, the One who “‘. . . came to seek and save those who are lost’” (Luke 19:9).
