As we pursue our goal to have a Stonecroft initiative in every U.S. zip code, we are starting with prayer. Use the tutorial below to download the instructions for using the BLESS app. It will help you know those right around you and help remind you to pray for them. Be sure to select Stonecroft as your organization when you sign up, that way we know how many zip codes are praying.
The BLESS App
A Tool for Intentional Living
The BLESS App has transformed my approach to prayer and evangelism. Designed to foster connection in an increasingly isolated world, it provides an innovative way to engage with my community. By leveraging publicly available information, the app generates a personalized prayer list, including names and addresses of up to five neighbors at a time that live near my home.
This feature breathed new life into my prayers. Suddenly, my generic petitions became deeply personal. Knowing my neighbors’ names gave me a sense of connection, even before we exchanged words.
The app also incorporates scripture-based prompts, encouraging me to pray God’s Word over my neighbors. For example, I might pray Isaiah 41:10, asking God to strengthen and uphold them in their challenges. The app even suggests practical ways to bless others, helping me turn my prayers into tangible acts of kindness.
