The call to “Pray, Give, Go” is a practical framework for living out the Great Commission. Let me share how you can join this transformative journey and how women across the nation are already answering the call.
Pray: The Foundation of the Movement
Prayer is the heartbeat of our mission. Through prayer, we invite God’s guidance and power into our efforts. James 5:16 reminds us, “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” As we pray for every zip code, we ask God to prepare hearts, open doors, and provide opportunities to share His love.
You can start by praying for your own zip code. Use a map or a list of neighborhoods to guide your prayers. There is also a wonderful app you can download called The BLESS App that will help you pray for your neighbors by name. Ask God to bring spiritual revival, to strengthen Christian women in the area, and to create opportunities for outreach. You might also consider joining a prayer group or starting one in your community. Together, we can cover every corner of the nation with prayer!
Give: Fueling the Mission Through Radical Generosity
Generosity is a tangible way to support the work of the Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’” Giving enables the practical work of the ministry, from providing resources to training volunteers and launching new initiatives.
One particular Stonecroft supporter embodies the spirit of radical generosity. She began giving a small monthly amount, thinking it wouldn’t make much of an impact. Over time, she saw how her contributions helped provide Bible study materials, host training sessions, and fund outreach events. Inspired by the impact, she decided to give more and encourage others to do the same.
Whether it’s a financial gift, donating resources, or offering your time and talents, your generosity fuels the mission. Consider setting up a monthly donation or organizing a fundraiser in your community. Every gift—no matter the size—makes a difference!
Go: Living Out the Great Commission
Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19 is clear: “Go and make disciples of all nations.” The Zip Code Strategy invites women to step out in faith and take action within their communities. Going might look different for each of us, but it always involves being present, building relationships, and sharing the love of Christ.
“Going” doesn’t always mean organizing a big event. It could mean inviting a neighbor for coffee, volunteering at a local shelter, or mentoring a young woman in her faith journey. The important thing is to be intentional about living out your faith in a way that draws others to Christ.
Recently our staff shared a story of a woman who carries packaged, fresh-baked cookies with her everywhere she goes. She prays and asks God to show her who needs encouragement, and then she gives them away, asking if she can pray for the recipient. She is on the go and looking for God to move every day!
How You Can Get Involved
The Zip Code Strategy is a movement that thrives on participation. Here are some practical steps you can take to join:
1. Identify Your Zip Code
Start by praying for and learning about your zip code. Who lives there? What are the spiritual needs? What opportunities exist for outreach?
2. Pray for Revival
Commit to daily or weekly prayer for your community. Partner with others to form a prayer group and pray together through Stonecroft’s monthly prayer guide.
3. Give Generously
Support the mission of Stonecroft financially. Consider creative ways to involve others in giving, such as hosting a fundraiser.
4. Go with Purpose
Step out in faith to engage with your community. Share the Gospel, invite others to Bible studies, or volunteer for local ministries. Be willing to go where God leads, trusting that He will equip you.
Encourage others by sharing how God is working in your zip code. Your testimony can inspire others to join the movement!
A Movement of Radical Generosity
At its core, the Zip Code Strategy is a call to radical generosity—of time, resources, and faith. It’s about trusting God to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20) and being willing to play our part in His plan.
