A note from Stonecroft
Last week, in the midst of raging waters, chaotic weather, and extremely limited communication, one of our staff members lost touch with her son who was in the middle of the storm for more than two days. We prayed over him as she waited.
When the phone finally rang, she didn’t recognize the number and fear gripped her heart as she put it to her ear not knowing what report she would hear about him. His voice, “Hi mom,” came from the other end and relief overcame her. He then told the story of how a woman – a stranger- offered him shelter in her studio, fed him and made sure he was safe. God had sent someone to care for the one she loved when he was too far for her to reach.
Whatever storm you are facing, God sees you and reaches you, too. As more storms come, please join us in praying for those impacted.
For those in the path of Hurricane Milton, we pray for your safety and peace amidst the storm. May you feel God’s comforting presence, as promised in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Remember the reassurance in Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
To all who have endured the devastation of Hurricane Helene, know that you are not alone in your pain; your strength in the face of such adversity is a testament to your resilience. As you begin to rebuild and heal, we are praying for you.
In these challenging times, may all of us find solace in His love. No one is too far from His reach.
We invite you to pray with us over the coming days and weeks for those impacted. Click here for daily prayer prompts.
It is with special thanks and deep appreciation to the volunteer leadership in Florida for leading with love as they have championed prayer over their region amidst devastation. We see and acknowledge your work in the midst of your own challenges.
You’re Never beyond His Reach,
Your Stonecroft Staff Family
