Want to enhance your outreach? Strengthen the relationship between a Speaker and the Planning Team. The more rapport they establish before an outreach event, the more successful the event will be.

We strengthen this connection in two key ways. First, Speakers are strongly encouraged to participate in a local Group and take part in, or lead, Stonecroft Bible Studies when they can. This will help the Speaker become aware of, and participate in, the full scope of Stonecroft.

Second, our Speakers are asked to recommend a Bible study that ties in with their talk. When the Speaker connects with guests through her talk, those guests are more likely to participate in the study she recommends. Our Speakers will be trained in three ways.

  1. When she’s invited to speak in her local area, she’ll be encouraged to lead the study she recommends.
  2. When speaking outside her area, she’ll let the Chair know which Bible study she’ll recommend and the Chair with the local SBS leader will find someone to lead that study.
  3. If there’s no one available to begin the study, the Speaker will promote the Group’s current studies while she explains the Comment Cards. A volunteer will have sign-ups available for the recommended studies.

The sooner a new believer takes root in God’s Word, the stronger her commitment to Him will be. As Speakers and Chairs collaborate, we will get more of our first-time guests and new believers into God’s Word. And the more closely our Speakers work with Chairs, the more effective we’ll be in sharing the Gospel.
