Stonecroft will celebrate 80 years of ministry in just a few months. What an amazing evidence of God’s faithfulness!

Indeed, God called us – and He has provided for us during each of these eight decades.

So, I ask myself, “What have I done with my decade?” What and who have I reached during the time He’s given me to serve through Stonecroft?

Sharing the Gospel is every Christ-follower’s responsibility. But sharing the Gospel through Stonecroft is a unique calling to reach a woman where she is and as she is, with sincerity, long-suffering, and a commitment to stay by her side as she grows in the knowledge of Christ. That is who we are.

We are unashamedly an outreach ministry that intentionally equips, encourages, loves, and strengthens women to grow in the knowledge of Jesus and to proclaim faithfully the Good News.

I hope each of us can say we did what we believe God asked us to do with the time He’s given us.

Take a moment to ask yourself: What did I do on “my watch”? Did I love well? Did I serve the women on the teams around me as well as those I didn’t even know? Did I share the Gospel when prompted by the Holy Spirit?

We as Stonecroft volunteers have an opportunity to keep this mission strong through our loving and giving – through the way we invest in those around us.

We also keep the mission strong and filled with integrity when we keep the main thing the main thing. So, here it is:

Christ died in my place and was raised up so I could be in relationship with God.

We don’t compromise this message. We don’t water it down. We speak the truth with love and we back it up with Scripture.

Dear Father, thank You for calling each of us to this amazing ministry. Thank You for carefully leading us to serve You and the women around us so that more will come to a saving knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We humbly ask for Your continued grace and mercy to be our portion as we share the transformative message that Jesus saves. Help us to love and lead in a manner that is pleasing to You. Give us the wisdom and insight to ensure this mission continues for years to come. Amen.

“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.  And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”

– 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 (NIV)
