Cara Day Named Marketing and Communications Director

We extend a warm welcome to Cara Day, who joins our Home Office staff Sept. 1 as Director of Marketing and Communications (Marcom). Cara will oversee internal and external marketing and communications for Stonecroft and lead a team of four Marcom staff members.

Most recently, Cara served 10 years as Director of Programs and Communications at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary, a national organization for family members of U.S. military veterans. In that role, she worked at the VFW national headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, where she managed all programs, public relations, publications, and social media for the 500,000-member auxiliary.

Earlier, she served two years as editor and six years as editor-in-chief for the auxiliary’s national magazine. Cara has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Kansas. She, her husband, and their two teenagers live in Olathe, Kansas. In their local church, Cara has served as an AWANA leader and on the worship team.

Cara looks forward to using her gifts and experience to serve in a ministry focused on women’s evangelism.  “I asked God for a mission, a purpose. He gave me Stonecroft,” she says. “My prayer is that I can assist in positioning the organization to bring a sweeping revival to women everywhere through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May our storytelling point to His story and our place in it.”

Podcast Launches Series Called ‘Her Story Matters’

The Ears to Speak podcast launched our second series of Season 2 on Aug. 31! Called “Her Story Matters,” the series highlights ordinary women whose stories have made a difference in God’s Kingdom.

Co-hosts Maddison Berciunas and Jessica Leep Fick interview three inspiring women: 1) former Stonecroft staff member Rachel Fou, who grew up in a Buddhist family but unexpectedly found the love of Jesus; 2) Stonecroft Divisional Field Director Emma Reynolds, who shares how God gave her hope and a new life after a divorce; and 3) Seyko Groves, a singer, songwriter, and stay-at-home mom, who tells how Jesus delivered her from poverty, homelessness, and depression. We released all three episodes at once, so you can binge on them or listen to them individually as your schedule permits. Subscribe to the podcast at stonecroft.org/earstospeak.
