“God’s love is exponential,” says Theresa Crystal, a math teacher and Chair of the Rochelle (Illinois) Women’s Connection. “When you share His love and His Gospel with someone, it has wider implications than you can imagine.”

Theresa’s family is an example. When she was a young adult, a man shared the Gospel with her brother, then a drug addict. Her brother began a relationship with Jesus, and soon Theresa and their three siblings did the same. Their parents followed. Today, the whole family serves Christ.

Theresa, a Stonecroft Speaker, tells that story to encourage women to share their faith boldly. “You have no idea how far-reaching one person’s decision to follow Christ might be,” she says.

Her passion for evangelism inspires her Planning Team, which includes some women recruited in area churches. The team coordinates four outreaches annually. About 25 percent of the attendees are first-time guests, and usually at least one nonbeliever at each event begins a relationship with Jesus. The team sends follow-up notes to newcomers, and Theresa meets with each woman who expresses interest in the Gospel.

The team advertises every outreach as a “Girls’ Night Out,” charging only $5 a person and offering free child care. They use social media to promote each event. Theresa also develops relationships with local media outlets to garner more publicity.

All of this builds excitement for the event.

“We’re throwing a party for the lost!” she says. “It’s a fun place where women feel safe, loved, and included.”

Pam Trotter, Chair of Midlands (South Carolina) Christian Women, shares that same excitement about evangelism. Six years ago, Pam began a relationship with Jesus after a neighbor shared the Gospel with her. Pam says she had been on a “self-destructive path” that included addictions and suicide attempts. “Jesus changed me drastically.”

Soon, Pam’s entire immediate family decided to follow Jesus.

“I was on fire! I wanted to tell everyone about Jesus!” she says.

Later, a Stonecroft Regional Administrator connected Pam with a struggling Women’s Connection in South Carolina with four remaining Planning Team members. Since then, God used Pam to help grow the team to 14; today the Group thrives. They attract many first-time guests, see frequent decisions for Christ, and evangelize and disciple women through Stonecroft Bible Studies.

“This ministry is led by prayer,” says Pam. “We ask and expect huge things to happen.”

Pam leads the women to pray for boldness and “opportunities to get out of our comfort zone.”

“Jesus has to be our first love,” Pam says. “When you love someone, you talk about him. You’re excited. Sometimes people who’ve been Christians a long time lose that excitement. We need to … recapture that. When (nonbelievers) see that excitement and joy, they want it.”
