Stonecroft’s Where Love Lives outreach got off to a great start Feb. 22 when at least 70 small groups of women across the country viewed the opening simulcast streamed from Louisville, Kentucky. At the same time, another 100 women watched the production live at Louisville’s Trinity Chapel.

Participants saw God at work in amazing ways. Here’s just one example:

Diane Rose, a Where Love Lives host in Marietta, Georgia, shared what happened the day before a dinner she planned as a venue for the simulcast viewing. While Diane was buying gift-bag items for guests, a woman behind her in the checkout line asked if she was a teacher. “Yes, at times,” Diane responded and invited the woman to the event. To Diane’s surprise, she showed up!

“God is working all around us!” Diane wrote in a Facebook post. “We just have to listen and open our eyes! Can’t wait to see what HE does … as we continue the conversation!”

Women at the live event in Louisville were invited to attend Where Love Lives small groups to be held across the city in the weeks ahead. These and more than 130 other Where Love Lives groups in 38 states will gather for four video-based discussions focused on how to find, build, and sustain meaningful relationships. The Gospel will be presented in the last session.

If Where Love Lives isn’t being offered in your area, please consider hosting this easy-to-do small group outreach later this year or encourage other volunteers to do so. Watch for future communication from Stonecroft and visit stonecroft.org/wherelovelives.

Dr. Naomi Overton to Speak at Christian Leadership Alliance Conference

Stonecroft President and CEO Dr. Naomi Cramer Overton will speak at the Christian Leadership Alliance’s Outcomes Conference April 16 – 18 in Dallas, Texas. The conference provides leadership development, biblically based training, and peer networking opportunities for leaders of Christian nonprofits from across the nation and around the world.

Dr. Overton is among about a dozen frontline Christian leaders selected to serve as “thought leaders” for the three-day event. She will be a featured speaker during a day-long leadership lab at the conference and will lead an idea-generation workshop called What Really Sparks a Movement! Suzy Shepherd, Stonecroft Central Divisional Field Director and creator of the Where Love Lives outreach, will join Dr. Overton for that workshop and will lead another workshop called The Four Principles of Relationships. Pray for Dr. Overton and Suzy as they represent Stonecroft at this significant gathering of Christian leaders.

Stonecroft Hub Count Tops 50

Stonecroft launched its 51st hub in February, exceeding the Ministry’s goal of having 50 hubs in place nationwide by the close of the current program year ending March 31.

Since we last announced new hubs in November 2018, Stonecroft hubs have opened in the following locations: Alexandria, Louisiana; Marietta, Georgia/Dobbins Air Force Base; Austin, Texas; Fort Riley, Kansas (Army Base); Cheyenne, Wyoming; Anchorage, Alaska (two new hubs there); Lubbock, Texas (the second hub there); and Lexington, South Carolina.

“God is doing a beautiful work as more and more women join the ranks of volunteers sharing Jesus through the avenue of Stonecroft,” said Sarah LeBlanc, Stonecroft Director of Field Ministry. “Please join me in praying for the leaders of these new hubs as they lead and inspire women to share the Gospel with women where they are, as they are.”
