This letter was taken from the June 2017 edition of Stonecroft’s Storied newsletter.

Stonecroft’s staff celebrated National Volunteer Week in April. Our 15,000 volunteers share the Gospel of Jesus Christ regularly, leading to transformed lives as women begin a relationship with Jesus Christ.

That’s a lot to celebrate!

Our volunteers make a huge impact on their communities – and their service with Stonecroft makes a huge impact on them! Their work with Stonecroft also leaves a legacy in the lives of others. We recently published in our enewsletter an article in which volunteers share how working with Stonecroft has touched their lives:

“I love sharing my faith experience with others, especially when I witness someone receiving Christ.”

– Beatrice Ingersoll

“I think my favorite thing is seeing women realize that they can do whatever God calls them to do. He will equip them. Stonecroft with its resources and the encouragement of each other helps women help each other to fulfill God’s plan.”

– Georgia Basko

“My favorite is the love and connections I have made with the most beautiful, godly women/mentors I have ever known.”

– Katrina Dunkin

Stonecroft volunteers participate in a movement that changes lives – and their own! When women work together to share the Gospel, each finds a unique role, women encourage and mentor each other, and lifelong friendships form.

Women have experienced these blessings for decades while serving with Stonecroft. Jan Patrizio’s story reveals a legacy shared with young women as they participate together in a Stonecroft Bible Study, and as Jan heeds the Titus 2:3-5 admonition to mentor other women.

We desire to spread the Stonecroft legacy to new generations of women, giving them the opportunity to share the Gospel and experience the blessings of volunteering that their forebearers received.

For the past four years, we’ve shared the vision of creating local Stonecroft “affiliates” by which young women will receive Stonecroft training and share the Gospel with their peers via effective new outreach avenues. We recently redubbed these affiliates “hubs” – because these local Stonecroft originations stand at the center of an outreach “wheel.” The hub is the epicenter of Gospel-sharing activity for women in a community. Hub volunteers take the Good News to other women through a variety of avenues, from large events to small community groups where Stonecroft resources introduce the Bible and Jesus.

So far, 12 hubs are up and running, sharing the Gospel in communities around the country! Better yet, women are starting a forever relationship with Jesus Christ through the hubs’ efforts! Longtime volunteers introduce their nieces, daughters, and young friends to Stonecroft via the hub. They mentor and bless these new volunteers. They serve as role models. And they continue effective outreach to their peers.

Yes, Stonecroft leaves a legacy in the lives of women – those seeking Jesus and those introducing others to Jesus. Pray with us that the legacy will continue for years to come as we start dozens more hubs!
