Stonecroft volunteers from F.E. Warren Air Force Base recently held a Detox outreach. Military wives were invited to a four-hour fun, relaxing event that included free childcare and breakout sessions on finding a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit.
Women learned about meal planning for healthy eating, budgeting, self-defense, re-prioritizing family time, and finding spiritual rest through journaling.
One military spouse shared how she finally found the fatherly love and approval she longed for when she met Jesus. Then she shared about a crisis that drove her to lean on God like never before. One woman began a brand new relationship with Jesus Christ.
Detox guests were invited to continue their journey through community groups using the new Rest Conversation resource, Make Us One, and Pray & Play for moms and children. These groups offer a way to build supportive friendships and learn about God.
