Stonecroft’s Ears to Speak podcast acknowledges that often we as Christians haven’t been great listeners or learners in relationships. We want to inspire Christians to practice good listening and communication skills, especially in relationships with people who have a different faith or worldview. We believe God can use these practices to build a foundation of trust that will lead to open conversations about Jesus Christ and faith.
Hosts: Maddison Berciunas, Outreach and International Coordinator, and Jessica Leep Fick, Evangelism Resources Director
Maddison is a native of Kansas City, where she currently lives with her husband, Caleb and their two daughters, Mia and Flora. Maddison loves visiting local coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with family, including her six siblings.
Before joining Stonecroft’s Home Office staff, she worked with college students through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Jessica and her husband, Dave, enjoy exploring Kansas City rivers and lakes with their two sons, Reuben and Oswald.
We say goodbye to Season 1 of our Ears to Speak podcast, but this isn’t the end. Listen in on the exciting plans for Season 2!
Many of us were taught how to present the Gospel using a set of points. This can be a great beginning, but it’s important to follow Jesus in what He wants us to say, how to say it, and when.
How can we respond to the #MeToo movement? How can we bring the hope of Jesus to women trapped in shame, fear, and depression because of sexual assault?
Nothing is stuck. That is the Gospel fingerprint. Nothing is hopeless. Nothing is beyond repair by God.
We can extend the gift of silence to others in a world that is noisy and distracted.
We can deepen our relationships and give hope to others when we find common ground in our brokenness.
I don’t want to be so burned out that I don’t have emotional energy to connect with others. I want to be present and give my best self when I’m with people.
If we live out our Christmas in a way that we actually enjoy, then we give off the vibe as Christians that Christmas is something to celebrate and not something to resent.
Maddison and Jessica share some of their favorite and most effective questions they use when talking with people about their spiritual backgrounds and beliefs.
