Audrey McClung landed her dream job right out of college when she joined a Chicago fashion store’s executive training program. Around the time she became a buyer for the Midwest chain, she was invited to the Peoria (Illinois) Stonecroft business and professional group. “Our first special feature was a fashion show of hats featuring my colleagues as models,” she says. “Several of those women gave their lives to Christ — which is pretty amazing since I had just recently started my own faith journey.”
Then Audrey met Lonny, the love of her life. He was a career Navy Fighter Pilot, and the happy couple moved from coast to coast in the years that followed. Audrey became a Stonecroft Regional Representative and speaker and was welcomed by Christian Women’s Clubs around the country. “My goal was to take the wife of every squadron mate as my guest to hear the Good News,” she recalls. “Lonny spoke at several of our conferences and Men’s Nights. Stonecroft truly enriched our lives and enlarged our vision wherever we were stationed.”
Celebrating traditions and making memories is the hallmark of the McClung holiday gathering. “We love the joy and anticipation of Christmas, but the still, peaceful observance of Christ’s birth at an evening candlelight service reminds us that He is the true meaning of Christmas,” Audrey says.
“It’s a special joy and privilege to help others begin a relationship with the God of the Universe. Our desire is to invest our resources in programs with eternal impact. Our prayer is to see revival across America led through Stonecroft’s outreaches,” Audrey says. “Will you join us in bringing new life to those who need to hear about Jesus and prayerfully give whatever you can in support of Stonecroft?”
