Stonecroft Welcomes Rwanda as International Partner

We’re excited to welcome the African country of Rwanda as our newest international partner! God paved the way to begin this partnership when Pastor George Kanicks, one of our international partners in another African country, visited Rwanda months ago to share the Gospel and train believers through Stonecroft Bible Studies (SBS). He was hosted by Pastor Isaac Bitwenge, who worked with him in this effort. Isaac, now our new partner in Rwanda, leads a Christian organization that began in 2015 with the purpose of teaching the Gospel. This ministry focused first on girls with unwanted pregnancies but since has expanded to women from all walks of life in Rwanda. These girls have experienced family rejection, the disruption of their education, the shame of giving birth to children whose fathers aren’t known, and extreme poverty. As a result, the girls are discouraged and despise themselves, and many of them abuse drugs and become prostitutes, which puts them at risk for HIV infection. Pray for Isaac and his team as they use SBS to share the hope of Jesus with these girls and other women in Rwanda.

Anne Schneider Named Hub Growth Director

Congratulations to Anne Schneider, Northeast Divisional Field Director (DFD), who recently accepted a new position as Hub Growth Director for Stonecroft! This is an expanded role for Anne, as she continues to serve as a DFD, living in Baltimore, Maryland.

In her new role, Anne uses her gifts in training, coaching, ministry development, administration, and encouragement to serve Stonecroft’s hub leaders. A Stonecroft hub is a community of women who gather for fun, relationship building, training, prayer, and planning creative, relevant ways to reach other women in their circles of influence with the Gospel.

Anne works with both the Outreach and Field departments to support, develop, and train women as they say “yes” to the adventure and calling of a hub leader, says Sarah LeBlanc, Director of Field Ministry. “Anne has served with Stonecroft for 10 years as a DFD, so she has a wealth of tools and experience to serve these leaders,” Sarah adds.

Anne says, “I am excited about all that God is doing with the hubs across the nation, and I’m looking forward to supporting hub leaders in their own ministry development and hub growth.”
