The Tax Collector and Me
One of the things I love about Jesus' interactions with people is that He met them where they were and spoke to them in a language they could understand from their own experience. He knew how to relate to outsiders. The story of Zacchaeus is a beautiful example—and one I want to emulate. But when I recently attended a secular business conference that was full of people who were outside the faith, I was shocked to discover that my attitude toward them was more judgmental than caring.
