Taking It to the Streets

A quick, revealing snapshot of the changes in our culture can be found in our favorite television shows of the past 30 years. In the '70s and '80s, daytime and evening soap operas were the top-rated draw. In the '90s, talk shows reigned supreme. Since 2000, reality shows have taken top billing. They are all over the television—we can't seem to get enough.
