MEMORIAL GIFTS
When a Stonecroft volunteer or her loved one goes home to be with Jesus, family and friends frequently seek a way to make a meaningful memorial tribute in their honor. Often it is the wish of the volunteer or the family to have memorial gifts made to Stonecroft Ministries.
More lasting than flowers and cards, a memorial gift is a thoughtful expression that is also an investment in Stonecroft’s mission to equip and encourage women to impact their communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
When you make a memorial gift, Stonecroft sends the family of the deceased a letter advising them that a gift has been made by you in memory of their loved one. Stonecroft will not disclose the amount of your donation.
Memorial gifts are tax-deductible. Donors making gifts of $5 or more will receive a receipt.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR GIVING A MEMORIAL GIFT
Individual Memorial Gifts: Mail your check to Stonecroft Ministries, P.O. Box 9609, Kansas City, MO 64134. Include a note with the name of the person in whose memory the gift is given. Also provide the name and address of a family member to whom we can send the acknowledgement of your gift. (The funeral director usually has this information, if you are unsure who should receive the acknowledgement.)
A memorial gift can also be given over the phone by credit or debit card. Call Stonecroft Ministries toll-free at 800.525.8627.
Group Memorial Gifts: Here’s how to send a collection of memorial gifts from an outreach group, Bible study group, church, or other group.
Please do not send cash in the mail. A check from each individual is preferred, as the check provides all the information needed to notify the family of the gift and for Stonecroft to send a receipt.
If a collection of cash and checks has been taken, please make a list of the names and addresses of each cash donor and the amount of their gift. (You do not have to list the names of donors who gave a gift via personal check.) Deposit the cash, and write a personal check or money order to Stonecroft Ministries for the total amount of the cash. Mail this check, plus the personal checks from the other donors in your group, to Stonecroft Ministries, P.O. Box 9609, Kansas City, MO 64134.
FOR THE FAMILY AND LOVED ONES OF THE DECEASED
If you are the contact person for the deceased’s family, please call Stonecroft Ministries toll-free at 800.525.8627. Give us your name, address, telephone number, and the name of the deceased. We will continue to mail you the names and addresses of people who have made memorial contributions to Stonecroft in your loved one’s honor for as long as new gifts are being received. The amount of the memorial gifts will not be disclosed.
