CAREERS

Stonecroft Ministries is looking for women to fill the role of Field Director in the following regions:

A Field Director must live in one of the states she serves.

Field Director

OVERVIEW

For over sixty years Stonecroft Ministries has been a non-denominational, dynamic, international presence providing opportunities for women to reach others for Jesus Christ.  Its mission is to “equip and encourage women to impact their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Stonecroft was founded in answer to the prayers of Helen Duff Baugh, a woman gifted with a consuming passion to share the wonder of God’s salvation.  She was acutely aware of the desperate spiritual condition of many of those she met.  God inspired her to plan a dinner for the purpose of sharing a clear gospel message with her husband’s coworkers.

Today Stonecroft Ministries has over 1,200 outreach groups.  Like that very first meeting, each event is in an inviting secular atmosphere led by lay people and includes a speaker who shares the reality of Jesus Christ.  Stonecroft Bible Studies provide outreach opportunities as well as knowledge of the Word of God.  The future vision includes shared interest groups and other means of friendship evangelism.

PURPOSE

Field Directors are committed to providing leadership for the implementation of the mission of Stonecroft Ministries.  This is accomplished through identifying, training, equipping and encouraging volunteer leaders in their assigned multi-state region.  They model mature biblically-based leadership as well as the essential values and commitment to evangelism and discipleship which have compelled this ministry since its formation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Work together with other regional and headquarters staff to help set vision and direction for the region, build an effective regional team, and develop and implement an annual ministry plan for the region.
  2. Facilitate leadership development for volunteers, represent Stonecroft Ministries throughout their region by sharing the mission and vision, and develop prayer support.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

  1. Individuals well qualified for this responsibility will have anunmistakable passion for influencing others to trust Jesus Christ as Savior.
  2. They must be able to persuasively articulate a personal commitment to evangelism and discipleship based on a thoughtful biblical conviction.
  3. The Field Director will have served in leadership roles for five to ten years, preferably in a ministry setting, which includes teaching, mentoring and motivating others.  This individual must be able to inspire as well as develop others to noteworthy achievement.
  4. Candidates should possess a formal educational background, preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  5. Proven skills possessed by candidates for the Field Director should include the following:
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  The personal presentation of the Field Director must affirm credibility.
  7. Good public speaking skills, with warmth, congeniality and persuasion are very desirable.
  8. Volunteer and staff development.
  9. Experienced in identifying leadership potential. Strong team-building results will be expected through equipping and encouraging others.
  10. Self-motivated.  The Field Director must be able to work independently at a location separate from headquarters with minimal supervision, and coordinate efforts with the appropriate leadership at headquarters.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Individuals who would be inclined to this position might be those who reflect the following:

  1. Enthusiastic affirmation of the statement of faith and mission of Stonecroft Ministries.
  2. Mature, godly character, spiritual depth and theological convictions, yet with a realistic self-image and self-assessment.
  3. Commitment to a balanced lifestyle characterized by stewardship of time, energy and resources.
