Internship Program Components
Orientation Week
Interns will spend their first week in orientation sessions led by the Chief
Executive Officer, members of the Executive Team, Department Managers,
and Supervisors. During this time, interns will learn about Stonecroft
Ministries’ history, spiritual foundation, organizational structure,
international ministry, funding model, current programs, and future plans.
Emphasis will be placed on where the ministry is heading during the next
decade. Before reporting to their assigned regions, Field
Interns will be required to participate in the training week held
on the Kansas City headquarters campus.
Mentoring
Interns will be teamed with a Stonecroft professional in their department
who will meet with them regularly to answer questions and help them get
the most out of the program. Field Interns will be assigned
to the Field Director in their assigned region.
Classroom Instruction
Throughout the session, interns will participate in classroom instruction
led by ministry professionals.
Topics such as leadership development, volunteer management, spiritual
gifts, dealing with change, personal evangelism, and public speaking will
be covered. With the exception of the Kansas City Field Intern, classroom
instruction will not be available to Field Interns.
Prayer and Spiritual Growth
Prayer is the foundation of Stonecroft Ministries. Interns will be expected
to participate in regularly scheduled corporate prayer times. They will
also be encouraged to connect personally with Stonecroft
staff. It is our prayer that one-on-one spiritual mentoring will result
in spiritual growth that impacts the lives of our interns as well as the
staff. Field Interns will have opportunities for corporate
prayer, spiritual growth, and mentoring as they interact with the Field
Director and volunteers in their assigned region.
Fellowship
Interns will have ample opportunity to get to know one another as well as
the staff. They will have opportunity to engage in fun, social, and community
activities that will serve to unite them as co-workers in Christ. Field
Interns should make a concerted effort to participate in any events that
will serve the same purpose in the field.
Credit Hours
College credit is available subject to prior approval by the college or university.
Lodging
Living accommodations at headquarters are available to interns. Field
Interns will be responsible for finding and funding their own accommodations.
Dress Code
Business casual dress is required. Jeans are permitted on Fridays.
Hours
Interns will be required to attend staff devotions each morning at 8:00.
In addition to on-the-job training, their approximately 20 hour work week
may consist of classroom instruction and other worthwhile activities as
they occur. They will also have occasion to experience “live ministry” off
campus. Field Interns will adhere to the schedule put forth by the
Field Director in their assigned region.
