Communications Internship
Communications interns are exposed to a variety of projects designed to increase the awareness of Stonecroft Ministries’ mission, vision and ongoing work among its constituency as well as those unfamiliar with the ministry.
Interns have an opportunity to gain knowledge and to acquire new skills as they are trained by experienced professionals in the inner workings of the department. Although learning opportunities will vary in accordance with the nature of the work in progress during the internship and with the intern’s training and expertise, specific areas of involvement may include, but not be limited to, some or all of the following components:
- Writing and editing Stonecroft materials for print or web use
- Web applications, including content development, content management, and content application
- Designing Stonecroft materials for print or web use
- Assisting with script development and production of audio/video resources
- Observing marketing team meetings and other creative/planning meetings
- Assisting with general clerical support – not to exceed 25% of the overall departmental experience.
Special Events Internship
Special Events interns gain insight into the planning, promotion, and execution of a variety of special events that support Stonecroft Ministries’ mission and outreach programs. Interns have an opportunity to gain knowledge and to acquire new skills as they are trained by experienced professionals in the inner workings of the department. Although learning opportunities will vary in accordance with the nature of the work in progress during the internship, specific areas of involvement may include, but not be limited to, some or all of the following components:
- Planning of periodic major national events (exposure to contract negotiations and researching pricing, venues, locations, etc.)
- Planning and organizing regional events and learning how to work with volunteers who are coordinating local events
- Exposure to the coordination, planning, and execution of training seminars on the Stonecroft Ministries campus
- Publicity and promotion of events through print and web
- Observing creative/planning meetings
- Conducting research that will enhance future program planning and promotion
- Assisting with general clerical support – not to exceed 25% of the overall departmental experience
Outreach Internship
Outreach interns work directly with experienced ministry professionals to support ministry needs in both the program and Bible study areas. Interns learn how to interact with a diverse group of Field Directors and volunteers around the country. They discover the importance of teamwork as they learn about vision casting and implementation. Their input is always welcomed as the ministry seeks new ways to appeal to younger women. Although learning opportunities will vary in accordance with the nature of the work in progress during the internship, specific areas of involvement may include, but not be limited to, some or all of the following components:
- Organizing community outreach events
- Organizing and facilitating Stonecroft Bible Studies and prayer groups with their peers
- Offering input for developing future Bible studies, new models of outreach, and outreach material that will appeal to their peers
- Exposure to research techniques that will provide insight into creating effective ministry
- Assisting with general clerical support – not to exceed 25% of the overall departmental experience
Field Internship
Field interns have an opportunity to gain insight and to acquire new skills as they work with the Field Directors in specific regions of the United States. A primary focus is to learn how to spearhead new endeavors designed to attract younger women to ministry. They discover the importance of teamwork as they learn about vision casting and implementation. Besides interacting with current volunteers, they also gain exposure to new models of ministry separate and distinct from the present structure. Specific learning opportunities may include, but not be limited to, some or all of the following components:
- Organizing and facilitating Stonecroft Bible Studies and prayer groups with their peers
- Offering input for developing future Bible studies and new models of outreach that will appeal to their peers
- Learning how to work with and lead volunteers
- Observing planning team meetings to develop ways to bring generations of women together
- Identifying opportunities for service projects as a way to develop ongoing relationships between women
- Learning about the development and perpetuation of the “small group” model
- Assisting with general clerical support – not to exceed 25% of the overall field experience
