RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication' - It is a way of letting you receive news, information and updates from web sites so that you can stay up to date. Instead of spending hours browsing, RSS brings this information to you!
To read RSS feeds, you usually need an RSS Reader (sometimes called an Aggregator). However, there are some free services that will forward RSS feeds directly to your e-mail inbox (like Feed My Inbox, which is really easy to use, but not free). Most browsers will help you out in getting started when you click an RSS icon. If you are new to all this, watch this video to get a clear explanation in plain English.

Note: Before trying the services listed you might check and see if you already have RSS available to you. Some free personal pages like Yahoo, MSN, and Google incorporate RSS. If you have an account with any of these services you should check into what features they provide to easily add RSS feeds.
